This September we are now able to provide you with more comprehensive eye examination for your children called CYCLOPLEGIC refraction. This is a procedure used to determine a person's refractive error by instilling cycloplegic eye drops that will temporarily paralyze the muscles of the eye which aid in focusing. This is most commonly done in young children as they sometimes subconsciously accommodate their eyes during an eye exam making the results invalid.
